Prayer Pt 2 + Care

hey guys. ok if u realise, i finally have a tagboard. haha thx to eve for helping me set it up. ok so went to sch today to finish painting the banner for open house. if u want to see a pic of it u can check eve's blog out cos i dont have the pic:) so spent the whole morning there and then came back to enjoy wad little freedom i have left before my course starts tmr. took a nap and then was super pissed off when my dad came and scolded me to wake up. he always does tt and its like super irritating and always spoils my day. so was super grumpy the rest of the night until like arnd 10. for some reason i just said forget it, wads the use of being pissed?

ok this is gonna be quite a long post. so the cool thing tt i was talking abt yesterday was tt u noe how 2 days ago my qt was abt why pray? well the sermon yesterday was abt how to pray. i found it really cool how God can show me the importance of prayer through 2 separate incidents. sometimes i have to admit tt i wonder whether God is really hearing my prayers and wads the use of praying when God noes all ur thoughts. and well He has shown me in the past 2 days. isnt He amazing?

well pastor daniel (pastor of Bethesda Christian Centre, ian leong and weiying's church) shared on the pre-requisites for prayer and used Ephesians 3:14-21:
The Right Posture - Eph 3:14-15
The Right Petition - Eph 3:16-19
The Right Power - Eph 3:20-21

so well the right posture is not just talking abt our physical posture but our mental posture too. the right posture recognises who it is tt we are praying to - our Creator and Almighty God. he says tt it is not a must to be serious as we can still treat God as our friend. but we must still have the respect in our prayers as He is still our Lord.

the right petition is tt we shld pray not just for small things but for the bigger things. wad Paul prayed in the verse is for strength and love. so we shld learn and pray for strength to live the life tt the Lord has called us to, and for love for one another, and the strength to love. pastor daniel added tt we shld pray for things not just when they happen but before they happen. like when someone falls sick we pray for them. but we shld also pray for the health of the pple arnd us even before they fall sick.

the right power is tt we are praying to our Lord who can do anything and we shld believe tt God can do whatever it is u are praying for. dont doubt His power and truly believe tt it will happen. i heard a story, cant rmb whether its from the bible but i dont think so. haha so 2 farmers are experiencing a drought, both of them pray for rain but only one of them prepared his field for the harvest. which one had the greater faith? be the one who prepares.

ok so tt was the interesting thing tt happened to me. i noe its not as cool as i made it out to be in yesterday's post but it was quite cool for me. haha ok so my qt for today is abt God caring even for animals. God has expressed His care for animals throughout the bible which makes us think, if God cares for even animals, how much more does He care for us, being made in His image. and if He cares for the animals, shldnt we also care for the animals too? and how much more shld we care for each other?

personally, i have no qualms with eating meat, wadever animal it may be. tts cos i believe tt animals were created by God for us to consume. but wad i cannot stand is pple who torture animals or use them in labs. i mean although they dont have a soul they still can feel pain rite? and since God cares for them, we shld care for them too. but wad abt each other? i noe of some pple who are like total animal activists, totally against animal cruelty. but someof them are surprisingly not against human cruelty. i mean arent humans more impt than animals? and some pple just treat them worse than how they would treat animals.

but well we can be assured tt God will care for us cos if He cares even for the animals, He will definitely care for us. ok well tts it from me today. gonna go sleep now. its 2.29 and ive got to wake up at 7am. oh wells. haha k guys have fun with ur freedom. cyas:)
