Don't Sell Fish

hey guys, im back after a 2 day break. super tired after the comm retreat. haha. tmr theres church so im gonna keep this short.

ok i noe the name is super lame but guess wad the topic is abt. haha so selfishness can come in many forms but one aspect tt i think we might miss out is selfishness in our ministry. be it evangelism or other ministries, we may find ourselves doing it for selfish purposes like to gain the approval of others. well, i feel tt we will nv be able to do our best in tt ministry in tt kind of mindset but if u see others knowingly doing it, just be happy tt they are at least contributing. its better than nothing. Paul expressed this in:

Philippians 1:9-18 (New International Version)

9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Paul's Chains Advance the Gospel

12Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.

15It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

well thinking abt this qt, i realised tt maybe God is trying to tell me something abt the situation. i mean im not sure wad their purposes may be, selfish or not, they may be committed but through certain circumstances which may be spiritual attacks, they are not able to do some things. but as long as they are able to do some good, wad does it really matter as long as God's work is done. but still there is their walk with God tt im concerned abt. but lets not jump to conclusions and let things unfold first, it may just be spiritual attacks tt stop them from doing God's work.

haha ks tts it from me for another 2 days. haha going for a farm stay tmr after church and the young adults retreat briefing. its gonna be a silent camp. so cool. haha. oh im trying to figure out wad Christmas presents to buy so if u could hint something to me or ask ur friends to tell me if u are too shy or if ur skin is thick enough, just tell me wad u like (not wad u want) and ill think of wad to get for u guys. haha im gonna go broke after this Christmas. haha k then, have fun at church tmr. cyas:)
